A life coach is a type of wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches aid their clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives.
Life coaches can help you clarify your goals, identify the obstacles holding you back, and then come up with strategies for overcoming each obstacle. In creating these strategies, life coaches target your unique skills and gifts. By helping you to make the most of your strengths, life coaches provide the support you need to achieve long-lasting change.
During the last 20 years, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has become one the best known and widely used psychotherapy sectors due to its simple to use framework and its powerful processes. Whether it be to help with emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, anger and frustration, or to overcome unwanted behavioral issues, CBT is an effective method of helping people to create real change in their lives.
CBT works to understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is based on Arnold Beck's work that thoughts create feelings causing behaviors to happen. "Change your thoughts, change your life," could be the mantra.
Many people seek out life coaches for guidance in navigating a significant life change, such as taking on a new career. In plenty of cases, however, people turn to life coaches simply for help in building a happier, more meaningful life.
There are a number of indications that working with a life coach could be helpful for you. These signs include:
Coaching focuses on the present as a way to change the future. Coaches do not work by looking at dysfunction or by delving into the client's past. Coaches are not focused on healing emotions (however, that may occur). Coaches do not explore pathology to understand the client's presenting problems. Coaches partner with the client and are solution oriented.
As a coach I look at the individual holistically in the present moment and help you explore major aspects of your life. I'll work with you to establish a positive partnership. We'll set up a system of self-accountability that establishes progress toward meeting the goals you want to achieve.
The coaching model is positive, intuitive and solution-focused. As a coach, I leave the session energized and interested to hear from my client about how the accountability is going. Sometimes a client will email me between sessions and tell me. It's an interesting and exciting process.
To follow health & safety protocols during these challenging times, all sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Even after the pandemic, I will continue to utilize Zoom meetings for clients that are not in my geographic location.
Feel like you want to spread your wings, but feel stuck. Now we can work together with CBT coaching techniques so you can soar!

Have you ever tried to communicate with someone who didn’t speak your language, and they couldn’t understand you? This is the kind of relationship that most of us have with our own unconscious mind. We might think we are “ordering up” more money, a happy, healthy relationship, peace with our family members, and being able to stick to a healthy diet…but unless that’s what showing up, then something is probably getting lost in translation. Using NLP techniques, you can become fluent in the language of your mind so that your unconscious mind will finally understand what you actually want out of life.
(EFT)/Tapping. As with acupuncture and acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. In this theory, blocks or imbalances in the flow of energy lead to ill health. Tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips restores the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.
EFT can be helpful for people with PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, and/or limiting beliefs.
